We offer a range of work experience placements for 14–18 year olds where you’ll experience the cutting-edge projects we're working on that make a lasting impact, meet people across our business, and explore the scope of our career opportunities. Our placements usually last for a week and cover lots of different areas including engineering and business administration.

Get real-world experience as an engineer working real-world projects at BAE Systems. If you’re aged 16-18, you can apply to join our engineering taster weeks in Rochester during the summer. You’ll hear about the work we do from engineers across the business and get advice from experts in the industry.

Suitable for students aged 14-18, our virtual 5-day programme will guide them through a real-life engineering challenge. Including live teaching sessions, group discussions, collaboration activities, independent research and Q&A opportunities with our apprentices and experienced engineers. An engineering-based project will be completed over the week and students will present their work to a selection of BAE Systems Ambassadors on the final day.
